I have always had a great enthusiasm for sewing ever since I was a teenager. I got a degree in University Studies with a focus in Clothing Construction. I then worked at a costume shop at my University for about two months.
Before I created Samantha’s Embroidery I was working for someone doing Embroidery and just decided that I wanted to do my own thing and be my own boss.
Then one day I decided I would try Etsy and try to sell some Christmas stockings. It turned out there was a need for those and I sold about 100 stockings that Christmas season.
I added more things to my Etsy shop and some things sold more than others. And I’ve learned I need to put products through a trial and error to see how they will do before I continue on with any products.
Through it all, since I released my first products the response has been something positive. Embroidery has become a true passion of mine and I have continued my own business which has been running since 2012.
